Subject: [CR]Paramount on eBay that just cannot be

For anyone who cares, I communicated with the seller of http://ebay.com/<blah> the '71 Paramount on eBay with later decals. He admitted that he had it repainted in 1980, which is why the decals and color are wrong for 1971. He said the serial number is K7116 which would make it a '71 frame.

He was quick with responses so, if you have any interest in this bike, I suggest you ask him some questions, as there apparently is more to the story behind this bike than the description reveals.

Interestingly, he said he didn't like the "awful" yellow of the bike's original paint job. The 1971 color would have been Kool Lemon, a bright, true yellow that is one of my personal favorite colors for Paramounts. It's the same color used on the Lemon Peeler krate stingray. So, he had it painted pink instead?!?!?!? Guess everyone has their own tastes.

Has there ever been any production bike that one could find in more different original colors than the Schwinn Paramount?
