I believe the neutral feedback is too often poo-pood upon. Somehow I get the feeling that all this "A++++" to "never again in this life, buddy" is so much without nuance that it is hard to pick out the qualified remarks. Reading some bidders/sellers negative feedbacks gives me the feeling that the other party is Mr. or Mrs. Anal, thus tending to disregard this feedback. Other positive feedbacks are so out there that they can´t be taken serously either; kinda like grade school, where everybody scores well. This is where the neutral comes in. I pay much more attention to these than all others. If there were problems but everything worked out to a satisfactory manner, hey, there you go. Or if the other party is a little confused, et viola. Buyers a lot of times have the feeling that they were deliberately tricked, before anything else, and immediately suspect the seller of wanting to harm them (I don´t really believe that most of them would give two squats what you think). I always try to do this in a manner that I would like to be treated in. Sometimes it doesn´t work out that way, because the opinions differ too much, but even those tend to get worked out. And, yes, there are some people out there that aren´t playing it straight, so you need to watch out. But to most peolpe there are things that are more important than ebay, especially if they are not full time sellers. I myself just had a kid and that led to some of my items being shipped a little later than usual. I informed the buyers, and it wasn´t a problem. A lot of times it is just a flow of information thing.
