Subject: [CR]Re: Identification of OLMO frame

CR Listers,

I recently acquired a OLMO frame model "Gentleman" medium metallic blue with yellow OLMO decals on DT and seat tube ( OLMO frame and fork+headset 52cm steel or ebay number 3654863504). A "gentleman" sticker is at the front of the top tube on either side. Would like some help with identification. There is no serial no., BB has two slots, braze on's for DT shifts and one set bottle bosses with BO TT cable guides, lug work a bit sloppy. The Columbus ST sticker says ZETA. There's a Champion of Italy "Professionisti" 1978 just above the BO shifters. Questions for the experts:

1) What is the proper seatpost size? A 27.2 doesn't fit. My calipers say the ID is about 26.5-26.6 - does this mean a 26.4 seatpost? 2) The windows in the lugs are painted a gold color similar to the field in the columbus SL decal and the OLMO headtube decal. Is this the original color? Yellow would make more sense but...? 3) Is Zeta a straight gauge (it feels a tad heavier than my SL frames). 4) Where did this bike sit in the model line? 5) Anyone have a set of OLMO decals in yellow for this vintage?

Any help would be much appreciated.
