Walt,

It looks as if things are better. And they will get better yet. Enjoy your young legs while you can. If you want my old 'epokes' you can have them.

Hello all,

My holidays last December went well, I had been negotiating via email with some Scotsman trying to get my mitts on a few english and scottish framesets. Then January rolled around and I was kicked low. I got called in out of the blue to be told that my job was no longer going to be budgeted for and I was getting displaced. Well, immediately the thoughts start flowing through the mind...no work, how am I gonna pay insurance, cut back on excess expense...etc...etc...etc. It was about one week before this time the deal was finally sealed for the framesets. Now came the shipping and payment. So many thoughts went through my mind like...Great timing Walt! But then my girlfriend pulled me aside and said, just calm down, you already went through with it...don't worry now. You know the bikes will bring some happiness. So I didn't hesitate. Well, now I have a temporary job in the float pool...enough time to try and find a permanent one where I work or somewhere else. I have about 5 months. Not bad. it helped to hear that news...then I got some great work time in the education department that helped me show some of my work skills that no one knew existed....making myself a little more marketable lately...harder to get rid of.

Then today the box arrived...from Scotland. I went XC skiing as usual when I came home then I opened the box. I am so glad the deal went through and worked out. I can't thank BRUCE ROBBINS enough from Scotland! I now am a proud owner of a very very nice looking Scot! Beautiful bike! And the other frameset which Bruce really cut me a unbelievable deal on...is awesome as well!!! It is a 50s Dawes club frameset. Very very cool! I have parts already all over the basement and have set aside some specific ones for the builds and now I can't wait to start assembling...and as much as I love XC skiing, I can't wait to try out both these bicycles! Once again, Big Thanks to Bruce!!
