Columbus mid level tubing of the mid 80s. Below SLX/SL and above Aelle. When I bought my first real frame I was told that Matrix was not seamless but welded tubing and butted. Later it was replaced by Cromor. My Faggin Matrix frame did cost in 1986 exactly half the amount of the top of the line Faggin SLX frame and 50% more than the Aelle made frame.

Hiya folks,

I just received a bike with a Columbus Matrix tubing sticker. It is a lugged frame. What is this tubing? Is it off topic?
