cause:
a) everyone else is doing it!
b) attic? garage? what are these mysteries? woe is me the day i have space for more!
list-relevant bikes and frames (theres not too many of them, but hey - theres only so much room here!)
1930s caminade frame/fork/stem/bars - unrideable because of structural damage, but still a beaut (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/caminade/429.html)
1978 jack taylor tour of britain #7327 - scored headtube and steerer from a loose bearing, so its a wallhanger (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/taylor/7327.html)
1979 jack taylor super tourist #7603 - *almost* complete to combo modern/vintage spec (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/taylor/7603.html)
1994 jack taylor camper trailer (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/taylor/94trailer1.html)
1969 jack taylor bambino #5925 - actually currently on loan to a friends child (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/taylor/5925.html)
1960sish "fiorelli" fixed gear - now has fenders as well, but still has its mystery headset problem (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/bikes/fiorelli.html)
~1960s motebecane "porteur" (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/bikes/motobecane.html)
~1987 3rensho time trial "funny bike" - ok not cr period, but its a 3rensho, and a show bike at that (http://www.blackbirdsf.org/bikes/3rensho.html)
other than that, ive got my tigged bikes, which all have at least one cr-period component :)
id probably have more, but being a renter means theres only so much space. most of my stuff is paper ephemera and such.
i wish my stable also included:
~1890s pneumatic safety, ideally a white, or some san francisco manufacturer
~1930s umberto dei track bike
jack taylor 650b tourist
and a slightly swankier "porteur" from one o them fancy french constructeur types.
but it doesnt :)
