Puts me in mind of a collector friend of mine who shall remain nameless, but is one of the finer human beings I've ever had the honor to know... he takes great pleasure in the following sort of exchange:

Innocent naif: "wow, just the other day, I found one of those incredibly rare/expensive/impossible-to-find items, a/the xxxxxxx."

Collector (casually): "Oh. One of those? I have three. I think. Maybe five. I can't remember now."
