Steven- I have used so many different quality straps in my time, its not without serious consideration that I come back to the tried and true grey Campy straps of the 80s. They are not laminated like many other fine straps, but I have NOT found them to stretch in spite of this "lesser" design. I say this knowing full well that there are many very nice high-end straps out there Another favorite of my were a Binda design that served me very fine as well, but I haven't seen them in years. They were single strip of leather laminated to KEVLAR fiber cloth. I used these in the mid-80s way before carbon cranks, etc., showed up on the scene. I don't know what model they were and perhaps they didn't work well in other peoples hands as they just were not that common. Getting off my soapbox now. cheers- Dave Anderson Cut Bank MT

p.s. I used to think that Lapize were the Very Worst ever made until I had to use some Japanese SR brand. If you yanked on them hard enough, you could pop the rivet on the buckle!

I too like the Binda Extra straps, but on certain less-aggressive bikes prefer the non-laminated regular Binda straps because they are softer without being 'stretchy'.
