I´ve a thought that as interest increases, so do prices. You can see that on ebay, as well. For cheapskate collectors like myself who don´t have three to four digit sums to spend, that would definately narrow the horizon. I´m not particularly greedy, but it does hurt to see a good part go away (or not sell!) because the seller heard somewhere from somebody that whatever he has is ultra rare. I just stopped in a bike store today and the owner had a Meral up for best bid. I´m sure he was BSing me with the current offer, but still, I´m sure he´s hears of ebay and that upped the price (maybe I was wrong to go haggling on my way home from the bike store with two bikes in my hand already. Duh!). How often does one read "unique!" or "one-of-a-kind" in item descriptions. Sure, if I assemble a bike myself with parts that don´t mix it is one of a kind. Makes me think what turkeys these people are.
