Subject: [CR]Etoile for TA Pro Vis 5?

This component has been recently mentioned on the iBOB list and I'm curious whether any one has seen this beast (ref:xxx Joel?). It sounds like it might be a very handy item to have for other purposes such as using it to scoot a single outer ring inboard for good 5-spd or fixed gear chainline while retaining the flexibility to use a double length spindle and reverting to a double chainring if desired.

Mike Barry has the following description at:

"The 'Etoile' Up until now those wishing to use the TA Cyclo-touriste crankset with a modern front derailleur have found that the space between the outer ring and the crank arm has been inadequate. Older front derailleurs had a flat outer cage plate but all the new ones are shaped and require more space between crank and ring. Now we can offer the "etoile" which spaces the outer ring over about 4 mm which makes this classic crankset perfectly compatible with the latest front derailleurs."

I think I need one for my Speedwell deathcycle project...
