FOM made some of the nicer Italian alloy caged pedals of the 40's and 50's. They were the makers of the alloy pedals branded as Legnano, as found on the Roma model (top of the line model from Legnano.) I have seen quite a few sets and they are definitely good quality. They also apparently made steel pedals too, but I would not know how to recognise them as they were apparently similar to the Sheffield sprint pedal and did not necessarily have visible branding.
