Hello Mick ,
I've seen Continental Super Sports , and actually touched them . But I have not ridden them . They certainly look fine though ! And I've been intending to get some !
And I SHOULD have mentioned , there are only a few variations of the Panaracer Pasela being made in the 27 inch size . But since these appear to be EXACTLY the same as all of the many variations of the Panaracer Paselas made in the 700 size ( same casing , same tread , same rubber compound , etc. , etc. ) . . . . Well , that means any experiences with 700 size Panaracer Paselas ( 622 mm bead diameter ) would be the same with 27 inch size Panaracer Paselas ( 630 mm bead diameter ) . And I like them in both bead diameters ! I just wish they were available with Kevlar ( Aramid fiber ) beads , in 27 inch !
If everything else remains the same , switching over to the "foldable" beads of Kevlar / Aramid fiber means you instantly loose approximately 50 grams ( or more ) per tire !
Although with my 1972 Schwinn Paramount , with those 1972 Weinmann Alesa ( "dimpled" ) aluminum rims , with the slightly flared sides , I know I should always use tires with STEEL beads , and still never put more than 85 p.s.i. into a tire ! ( and maybe less on a really hot day ! - bang ! )
:^)
