I spied a lovely era 1984 (on-topic?) De Rosa at a shop outside of town the other day for a grand. Very good shape, great color (deep red) and Campy SR componentry except for Huret Jubilee shifters. Only a few small chips, no dents or wear, except a little grinding of the inner drive-side dropout, presumably from a slipped or overshifted chain. Columbus tubing.
Given the great reputation of De Rosa brand on this list and elsewhere, do you think a thousand bucks is a decent price for such a bike? The detailing is quite nice, with teardrop-shaped chainstay bridge reinforcements, although I saw no model name.
Yeah... it is my size. Curse or blessing? I did not see all that much in the archives regarding value.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
