I think we have addressed this before (haven't we talked about everything at least once? Ha!) but the deal with 41 teeth chain rings for 144 pattern, be they Campag or Avocet /Ofmega, is that because the clearance is so tight, many chains would rub/bump the ends of the spider arms when riding on the 41... Avocet partially cured this by grooving the inside outer face of each spider arm just enough for most chains to clear. So despite working "OK," in my opinion, 41 teeth cogs were after-thought engineering....
