((snip))dale writes..... chains would rub/bump the ends of the spider arms when riding on the 41... Avocet partially cured this by grooving the inside outer face of each spider arm just enough for most chains to clear. So despite working "OK," in my opinion, 41 teeth cogs were after-thought engineering....

Dale Brown Then there's the Larry method of a 41 without clearance challenges, just break a tooth off a 42.

LE CIRQUE

Something in the schedule rador has come up that will be overlapping the cirque this year. The NY bike show is that Thursday/Fri/Sat and i have a company that would like me to help them there. I was already planning a more 'focused' appearance this year - visiting without baggage (nothing to sell or display, sorry/yeah!) So I'm thinking, let the visiting vendor fly into DC instead of NYC, we drive up to the Apple, and I make a fast exit to Gboro to meet (but not meat) eat, and greet y'all (after the 'youse' all in NY)

Coupla questions: Anyone ever taken the skies from thataway (Newark, Kennedy, or LaGuardia?) down yonder?

Anyone returning from down yonder Sunday night / as late as Monday AM up towards the 95 corridor/DC area?

No charge for the company nor entertainment. I'll even pay the gas and food.

I'm registered for the Saturday affair, and there's even a chance I can sneak out earlier Saturday (maybe even Friday night)

I realize I migtht miss some of the schmoozing Sasturday but IU'd like to make the soire, sunday ride, and show.
