hi brad welcome to the list. unfortunately, the decals on the welsh made witcombs were specific to that model and were a pressure sensitive iteration (of sorts) of the london art - but it wasn't the london art. short of making copies, i feel safe in saying that those decals were made and used for two containers worth of bicycles and would never appear again. e-RICHIEĀ® Richard Sachs Cycles No.9, North Main Street Chester, CT 06412 USA Tel. 860.526.2059 site: http://www.richardsachs.com pics: http://photos.yahoo.com/bobbesrs rants: http://richardsachs.blogspot.com/

Brad Potter <bpotter39@comcast.net> writes: Hi there - new to the list. I purchased a Witcomb frame when I was in college in the 1973 or 1974. Built it up with Suntour components and a Wrights saddle. Rode quite a bit and then put it aside. Now I'm back into riding and I am in the process of restoring it. I communicated with Richard Sachs and he is fairly certain that this is one of their factory frames from Wales. Richard has been most helpful and very courteous. The frame was repainted several years ago and the original decals are gone. I would love to get them back on it when I have it repainted. I also spoke with Peter Weigle and he has Witcomb USA decals, but none of the English versions. Any ideas on how I could get either some decals or close-up pictures that I could use to have some replicated? The decals consisted of the typical white block letters spelling Witcomb on the down tube, a "Lightweight Specialists W" decal on the head tube, a Reynolds Tubing decal on the Seat tube, and a small decal that had a small white shield and red cross on it on the seat tube below the Reynolds decal.
