I should have done a little research, before speaking up, sorry about that. What with some framebuilder's speaking so highly about the "ride" of low heat silver brazed steel, I'd thought maybe somehow early on, the French got into that as well...I must say that Jan Heine's Singer ride reports certainly do no damage to the reputation of brass! Makes you wonder what it is that Singer does thats right- obviously quite a lot.
