I'm not aware of any special-finish SunTour components done during CR on-topic years. From '84 or so they did some on a special-order basis for OE customers, including black Superbe w/gold logo/lettering and dark gray-anodized Superbe, both for Cannondale.
The alternate-finish parts don't turn up so often these days....
