Here's a scan of an ad for the Gnutti splined crank that appeared the Nov. 15, 1951 issue of Cycling (England).

I have one of these on my '54 Hetchins Vade Mecum. Note: the left crank bolt is a left hand thread! Another weird Gnutti thing is that the quick release levers on the hubs (lic. Campagnolo) operate asymmetrically (front lever points to back and rear lever points to front!!!).
