Several months ago I posted an item on BSA manufacturing hubs and Pedals for Constrictor. As a result of this posting a few members cast doubt on this fact. Both on and off list. Whilst sorting through my Dad's collection today I found a copy of the 1937 Seasons Constrictor catalogue. What is interesting about this catalogue are the following statements. Page 29 Front Light Steel Hub, these hubs are made specially for us by the B.S.A. Co. Page 43 Boa Pedal these pedals are made for us solely by the B.S.A. Co. Ltd. Page 44 Constrictor cranks these cranks are specialy made for us by the B.S.A Co. to our design. I also found some loose pages of another Constrictor catalogue whose date I am uncertain of. On page 17 which lists the various hubs available it quite clearly states that they are all availble in either Constrictor or B.S.A. marked versions. In the light of what Mr. Bill Bailey former World Sprint Champion and life long friend of Leon (Jack) Meredith ( Constictor's Managing Director) said, plus this latest catalogue evidence we can now take the connection as gospel. Best wishes and be lucky. Michael Butler Huntingdon UK.
