Well,

After nearly a year in the works, my replica 50's Porteur frame from Curt Goodrich has arrived. Having always lusted after one of the incredible delivery bikes produced by Singer, Herse, et al, I decided to have my own made rather than having to mug Grant Handley for one of his.

Curt did an amazing job working with a set of old Nervex Super Legere lugs and wide Frenchie crown produced for the original Bridgestone Atlantis, which I got from Grant Peterson in the mid-eighties. While not 100% faithful to the old bikes, this will be pretty damn close and when finished will have a generator with internally routed wiring, a tubular cro-mo rack and a full compliment of NOS 50's & 60's hardware I have been lucky to get such as Mafac Drivers with reverse levers, FB high flange flip flop hubs with Bell wingnuts, Ideale 88 Rebour, Stronglight 49D, Hammered Honjo fenders, ALE Handlebar mount bottle cages, etc. A definite pimp ship for coffee shop runs. (anyone have an SNELL rated beret they would be willing to part with?)

Here is a link to photos of the painted frame. JB did an incredible job with the paint, gold striping and even painting Curt's logo in matching gold, ala Herse.

I'll post photos of the completed bike as soon as my last few components arrive.
