Jack,

The most important thing about using those self adhesive decals is to make sure you bake them on the frame before clearing over them. Those decals are difficult to apply without trapping small air bubbles under the large mylar panel. Eliminate all bubbles before and after baking. That color may bleed into the white ink of the decal also. Best to have clear down on the color before applying the decals. Imron will go over a properly baked and prepped decal, if the ones you have are the originals. All bets are off if they are something else, insofar as these comments. I'm sure many other top quality clears will work also.

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA Take everything with a grain of salt. I may not know what I'm talking about.

To all of you professionals out there. I am restoring an old "79" gios torino. I am in the painting phase and have found the decals on line. After the paint has cured and the decals have been applied and then I start the clear coat, here is my concern. I would like to prevent the clear coat from destablelizing the "Stickum" (that is an offical specification) on the decals and the blue paint. What is the spec for the clearcoat: ie, product and spec?

Thanks
