That would be a tough one since Velox plugs are, I believe, made of a natural rubber compound. I don't know of any paint that adheres well to rubber, natural or synthetic, and it's sure not going to last long in use. I was delighted to find a guy on eBay recently selling NOS Velox plugs in that lovely creamy white colour. I got two pair, one is newly installed on my '48 RRA with shellaced white Velox bar tape. Gorgeous!
