Mick, Do you know why the Buccaneer uses a different serial number scheme? Was there a change in ownership, a larger number of bikes being built or what? On another note, how well regarded are the Claud Butler "Majestic" touring bicycles that were made in the early '80s? When I was cycle touring in Europe at the time, it seemed as if nearly all the British tourists I met were on those bicycles. I was very excited about them although the owners, to a man (and woman), were rather blasé about them. I doubt they realized how rare such a bicycle was over in the USA - only Trek had anything similar and they were still a young manufacturer. Cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
