I am sitting here still in awe.

The bikes that traveled to Greensboro are hung back up in the living room and I've got the first load of laundry in the wash. The birds are singing outside my window and I *think* the cats have finally forgiven me for leaving for several days. At least they stopped pretending I'm not here.

The laptop my computer guy loaned me while he fixed mine, died on Saturday morning so I wasn't able to update any pictures on my picture site or post during the event - after all the trouble I'd taken to make sure the loaner laptop was set up with camera software. Still, with most of you all live and in person in the hotel lobby, the Dale's shop and the rec center it seemed kinda silly to post. I was having too much fun just hanging out.

As usual, there was so much to see I missed so much at the show. And I never got enough sleep!

Listening to Taliah Lempert discuss her work really brought home to me what I love visually about the bicycle in the way that colors and shapes flow. Efficient machine or reflection of the talent of the designer? Vintage Cinelli in my size or send Taliah a bicycle to paint?

Riding in and around Greensboro is always fun. The roads are nice and getting out in the country without *driving* for an hour first is a treat. Saturday the sound of squealing brake pads made me smile. Nice not to hear the army of "clicks," as everyone clips in. Kind of novel. Getting enough sleep and hydrating correctly before riding is always good! Rain does not count as hydration (my shoes are still soaked).

Dales shop and the people that work there are, as always, incredible. Cycles de ORO has everything. Enough eclectic goodies to appeal to people like us as well as the racer folk, the MTBer or the family that wants to cycle for fun. Big thanks to Charles who saved me from slipping handlebars with my old friend, the coke can shim.

Goodies, goodies and more goodies. I showed much restraint and I may have made up in sheer size instead of numbers of items I'd have brought home. Harvey : )

Dale - I don't think YOU slept for 4 days. Even though this certainly isn't the first time you've put on an event this big, the amount of work it takes to get it together prior to the event and the amount of involvement to both visit with everyone and keep everything going - wow! Thank you.

Then there is all, of ya'all...

I always feel really honored when you guys have the patience to tell me stuff, email me stuff or show me stuff. Muchless sell me wonderful things. Even after actively doing this vintage thing for a couple of years now (instead of just messing around with old bikes no one else wants) I feel like such a neophyte. So much to learn! I find my interests growing from just collecting the bikes I wanted as a teen, but couldn't have, to a fascination with bicycles that predate my birth and weren't made on the continent I was born on. I don't know what I'll own in a year from now but I know somebody out there will be a fan of it!

Anyway, I cannot wait to see you all again and do this thing one more time.
