I missed the other emails. In case this wasn't mentioned, I'll put in my two cents. After greasing the cups and placing the bearings, slide the axle in and thread the cone on a few turns. If you try threading the cone on all the way, keeping the axle still relative to the body, the bearings on the outer end will tend to bunch up as the cone comes into contact with them and the grease.

The solution is to hold the axle all the way in so the inner bearings are in full contact with the axle bearing race and the inner cup. Then, after threading the adjusting cone on one turn or so, hold the adjusting cone in place relative to the pedal body. Then turn the axle clockwise, rather than the cone. The cone will thread down the axle without turning relative to the outer bearings. It will come into contact with the outer bearings straight down. That way the outer bearings won't move, and won't bunch up.
