I need a little advice from the more experienced. Has anyone ever replaced
the tube in a tubular? I know, a great deal of unstitching and work. but if
you have ever done so, email me. I punctured the other day, when I went to
patch the inner tube, I discovered that the regular glue I used...didn't
really do to well on my tubular tube. The tube ended up getting trashed. Now
I am wondering, if you replace the inner tube...is there an easier way to
stitch it? BTW, I have been running tubulars on my one bike for well over 7
years and never had a flat til the other day.

Ahhh yeeeess, the classic conundrum faced by very sew-up rider. And yes, it
happens only after 7 flat free years when your confidence in sew-ups is firmly
planted in your mind. Then the weird incident like replacing the tube raises
its awkward head; what must one do??
Do you like to sew? Does it provide you with a certain type of "meditation?
then your answer is obvious. But if you have had enough meditation for this
year, I would just go out and buy a new one. And yes, I have fixed no fewer than
6 sew-up flats in the last 30 years. But the key point is that I have been
riding sew-ups all that time. (^:>~
