Jeff & the List

Suntour definitely made an alloy cog freewheel in 1975, when the shop I worked for first got them in. They were only marginally lighter than a Regina freewheel, much lighter than the all steel suntour. I could put my hands on one prior to organizing the garage. The body was well machined, looked like anodized ti, but failed the magnet test. The rumor at intro was it had a ti body, we all HAD to know. 14t cog was smallest avail, later the 14 was switched to steel as they wore out fast. The alloy cogs went bye bye with the arrival of the New Winner, but a 13 was then avail. Also with 6 speed.
