Mr. Massland writes: "Cino's last bike was a Cinettica Giotto bike made for him by his son. Prior to that he used a silver Cinelli with 26 " wheels with Cinelli m-71 pedals, Cinelli bivalent hubs, and Unica Nitor saddle and seatpost. The bike appearing in the October 1989 issue of Bicycle Guide does indeed have a radial-spoked wheel but I am not able to tell what kind of hub it is from the photo. The rear hub is completely hidden by the freewheel."

It is I think rather interesting that Cino picked as his personal ride, a 26' inch bike. Was this a random choice? Or, I wonder if his logic was similar to those who are partial to 650b wheels? Using them for some believed added comfort- possibly due to the ability to add wider tires, which might, if used in the 700c size, ruin the handling. Just conjecture. Jeremy Lieberman NYC NY
