Well, I haven't ridden it yet... Steven (intentionally) left the crank bolts loose, and I ain't gonna snug 'em up until my LBS finds their TA extractor (all I've got is Campy and Stronglight...).

The seatpost has got me scratchin' my head... a seamed steel post was on the bike and the seam was noticeably depressed. Facing the rear, the seam provided a nice little cavity for the lug ears to dive into when the seatpost bolt was tightened (now I know why the old bolt had that hellacious bend in it...) so now the seat tube opening from front to back is WAY too small to accept a properly circular post (and the machined flats on the ears are no longer parallel). Looks like I have some careful prying to do... I'm not sure whether to insert a wide screwdriver in the slot and lever it gently, or to use an 8mm punch (I found one, fortunately) in the bolt hole to gently pry outward. Seems like the edges of the screwdriver might stand a greater chance of distorting the seat tube than the latter method. But prying in the bolt holes would put more stress on the ears (and I have heard of them popping loose). Advice, anyone?

The tubular tires are marked simply "Servizio Corsa". Any idea who made these? (now I brace myself for the inevitable flood of E-mails: "Oh, those are made by Servizio Corsa Company, Inc." and I am left feeling like an idiot).
