The popular "roadster" rim was indeed, a Dunlop 28 X 1/2 " Westwood rim...that takes 700C sizes. The tires were almost always labelled Canadian Size on them.

The other odd Dunlop rim/tire combo was the older 28 X 1 1/4 " racing size with an enormous 647mm bead. But I've yet to hear any of our British compatriots even mention that one...maybe it too was particular to Canada.
