ATTENTION, ALL LIST MEMBERS:

Great news: John Pergolizzi is returning to New York for a few days this week, and will resume his active functions as Omnipotent Despot of the BVVW this Thursday. Who knows where he's off to next: Italy? California? So take advantage while you can.

The Brooklyn Velodrome Vintage Wheelmen will meet this Thursday evening May 13th at 5:30 pm at the home of : Michael Lebron 36 Cooper Sq. N.Y.,N.Y. 7th floor 1-212-475-2950 It's in the Village Voice building. That's where the Bowery meets 4th Ave. between 5th and 6th Sts. Take the #6 train to "Astor Place" or the "R" to Broadway and 8th. Subject for the evening's discussion will be a show and tell of your favorite thing in cycling. Maybe a bicycle, maybe an old Campy derailleur (or derailleur box), maybe catalogues or magazines (Miroir Sprint, But et Club, l'Equipe, etc.), maybe a jersey once worn by Nino Defilippis. Bring your interesting printed matter, pictures, parts, and weird stuff for show and tell. If you were at the Cirque and have any photos to share with those of us not so fortunate, please bring those too. We (about 10 certified bicycle freaks) will hang and talk bikes for around 2 hours. We will then wend our way to John's Pizzeria at 278 Bleecker St. in Greenwich Village. Pizza is coal-fired brick oven. Good beer on tap and cold. Cafe and dessert will follow. ALL are invited. Boys, Girls, Whatever. Please do yourselves a favor and show up 'cause we have A LOT OF FUN. Expect to get home by the next morning.

ciao, Mordecai "delegate to the Omnipotent Despot" Silver NYC
