ah, but the Nuovo Record and 1st gen Super record stuff *IS* pretty.

I think the only reason Nuovo Record stuff may take awhile to grow in value is because there was so much of it made, not because it isn't pretty. I was looking at the molteni-orange Colnago I have in my office, full Nuovo Record, and I think those parts are really beautiful, with that faint touch of Fritz Lang-ish deco-decadence that will never be seen again--on a bicycle part, anyway.

This aside from any urge to re-live the past..

As for the later Super record, I tend to agree, although the 50th anniversary groups have a certain je ne s'est pas..
