I'll need help here,I'am thinking it was in 1999.Because I seem to recall what I read said the Suntours were 1989 vintage. And his mechanics made them look like a Shimano part. As for exactly when ,who and where I read this tidbit? In court you would have my rear. Maybe someone else on list recalls?Or read the same piece. It is a possibility that what you are referring to is not a Shimano part. But I cannot say for sure.I have a friend that machines for a defense contractor that could replicate almost anything if money is no object and in the case of U.S Postal/Trek/Shimano-money certainly is NO object!Harris.

If I recall correctly, the only Tour in which Armstrong used the Litespeed was in 1999 (perhaps in 2000 as well, but I don't think so), because Trek didn't make a suitable time trial frame at the time.

When did Armstrong ever use Suntour brakes? He has recently been using Shimano Dura-Ace AX brakes on his time trial bike, but I don't recall ever seeing other brakes.
