Dale,

I sort of understand your point. But FYI, the Confente at American Cyclery was NOT stolen; I checked into it a while ago. The Boral breakin probably was a "standard" storage unit hit. Maybe not, but I suspect so. At the Cirque we are amongst the finest people in the world. Certainly we come to share and appreciate these bikes and their owners. I simply can't imagine thievery. Possibly another concern, probably valid in some way, is what the person is thinking. Just my feelings.

I am just guessing but there are a few folks who, right or wrong, fear theft ... They think that if certain very nice bikes existence and their owner's identity get known, it is possible that some thieves will attempt top steal them. Seems a long shot to me, but then I think about the Confente from American Cyclery and Marc Boral's break in... But in the final analysis, sadly very few of us value these bikes as highly as we do. For example, it would be hard to sell a Rene Herse on the corner for crack money.

Just my thoughts, Dale
