Just once, I'd like to see the UCI weigh the bikes at the top of a climb, just to prove that the lightest and trickest bike always wins. Right.

A woman's bicycle cracked at the BB. Gentleman that I am, I offered her the use of a bicycle, if only to train on. She told me she was not confident enough to take her hand off the HB and shift the DT shifter.

So, I think STI and Ergo are a good thing for these new racers, helping them keep their hands on the bars so they won't fall. Now, if they would only look at the road, and not their HRMs, cadence meters, SRMs, and whatever other "must haves."
