Exactly, indeed. About half the group would say the Bugatti is better and the other half would scoff at the idea, pointing out the obvious technological advances in the Escalade. The argument would descend into the fact that great races were won in a Bugatti when men were men, and that no 'real' cars have been built since the 50's !

...same as it ever was....

It's clear to me now that some people truly think the old stuff is technically better, or that impovments aren't meaningful, and other half of the group can't understand that reasoning.

My personal take on the situation is that not everyone on this list has tried that much modern gear, so I don't understand how they have come to their conclusion, whatever it may be.
