Tire mounting on these and any deep side rim should be carefully done, tire centering on the rim is important.I gradually inflate the tire in steps, checking tire position as I go.Rolling wheel with tire helps center but with a wide tire its best to use your thumbs to press the tire into the correct position, spinning wheel to check tire alignment. I recall having few problems before the trend to smaller tires, mounting a MICHELIN 50 on a clincher was a snap(but you always spun it to check the tire was seated in the correct position) what ever happened to MICHELIN 50s? looking forward to mounting tires on a bike I just got ,early AMBROSIO clinchers, single shallow walls
