Then check out this message posted on the Vintage BMX (Yes, there is such a thing) regarding different opinions:

This isn't a bunch of kids either, the writer is a 50 something year old man! :)
Soo...go ahead with the Campy vs. Simplex. Fixed gear v. derailleur disagreements. At least I feel safe with these..:)
