Fightin' words! IMO, there was a time during the late 80's that NOTHING performed as well as Superbe Pro. Campy was struggling to answer the indexing question, and while Dura-ace was good stuff, it was inferior to Superbe Pro in nearly every department: brakes, shifting, bearings, and -- if memory serves -- weight. Moreover, an awful lot of folks -- myself included -- rate the finish and attractiveness of Superbe Pro cranks and derailleurs as higher than just about anything ever made.
