Tub sizes there was indeed a seperate 26" British size of tubular now a devil to get hold of. You can find the rims easily enough. The 27" size refered to is in fact the 700c Continental size. These are sometimes incorrectly refered to as 27" because this is the size of sprints you would have used in a Brit frame built for 27" High Pressures.
