I'm selling this because I spent more money than I should have at Le Cirque... and I have to pay for Wayne Bingham's Masi Prestige somehow or other. ;>

I really don't like letting this one go, as it's my size, and, imho, exceedingly cool. However. I'm gonna be an adult about it. Wah.

For Sale: Fully chromed Masi Gran Criterium frame/fork. Made in Carlsbad with the pressed lugs, probably late 1974 or early 1975. Stamped MC56 on the bb. Serial number is *818*. 56cm c-t seat-tube, 55.5cm c-c top-tube.

The frame has been decaled and highlighted in a lovely shade of electric blue by Brian Baylis in plausible period-correct style (the sort of thing that might have been a custom-order). The seat-tube and head-tube decals are clear-coated, the rest are not.

The chrome job is after-market, and in good shape throughout. It's not a flawless job, but it's a good, competent job, I'd say. The chrome is slightly flawed under the top-tube, the result of inadequate polishing, as is the case on the insides of the fork-blades and the insides of the chain-stays, as well as around the bottom-bracket. It's not obvious, but there if you look. It's all sticking nicely, no bubbles, no rust, no bad pitting, no flaking.

Includes a steel Record headset in good shape.

The blue dt panel is like new, except that bottom corner at the top is just slightly chewed away, the result of some sloppy transport on my part. The seat-tube where the front derailleur was clamped is ever so slightly mis-shapen from the der clamp. Hidden in use.

No other dings, dents or flaws.

Price: $895 shipped in the lower 48 via FEDEX ground.

These are harder to find all the time, and this one really is a head-turner. Certainly a one-of-a-kind.

The list gets first crack, then it's on to ebay next week.

I have numerous pictures. Here's one for you all to sample:
