I flip for prewar skiptooth sprockets, silks on wooden rims, and anything between the covers of the 'Data Book' ..

Also I like those parts so timeless you see them on many types of fine bicycles, old and new:

Phil BBs sedis chains Brooks saddles Silca pumps matthausers MAFAC canti brakes Velox rim/bar tape TA cages

I especially like the components that (as some have discovered) will last for 100s of thousands of miles.
