Hi All, At least half a dozen people have contacted me off list regarding Ephgrave frame numbers. So I thought I would share the very little I know. Me and my Dad have been lucky enough to have owned three Ephgrave No.1's between us. The first was built in December 1953 No.2269LE we still have the original bill of sale for this one so the date is documented. The next was acquired from Boormans Cycles in Stevenage in the late 70's early 80's frame No.2025LE this is the one that is for sale on ebay at the moment. No sales plug intended. This machine looks a lot more modern in style to 2269 but is obviously a lot earlier than the ebay one. The last which is in totally original enamel and complete with head badge is 3587LE. The last one was acquired via a swap (trade) I had to part with a good Bates Diadrant/Cantiflex, pretty Curly Hetchins Brilliant and a very nice Claud Butler Olympic Sprint track iron. Shows you how keen I was to get it and the other parties reluctance to part with. I have know idea how many Ephgraves were made or what the frame numbers started at. Perhaps someone can help on this?

Best wishes and be lucky. Michael Butler Huntingdon UK.
