Favorite Parts (I've been fortunate enough to own them all at one time or another, except the Reedy pedals and Miche crank).

Stronglight 93 Crank. Love the open-star shape. Almost as beautiful, with a more slender spider and a nicely anodized finish, is the Miche Supertype.

Bob Reedy pedals. Anybody know how many of these were made, and does anybody have a set?

Simplex LJ derailleurs/shift levers. Shifts wonderfully and the cast-in logos here and there are stunning, especially after they get filled with grease and dirt.

Weyless hubs. Some think the levers are goofy looking, but I admire the designer's willingness to take a fresh approach. Also, is this the first time anyone tried hollow skewers?

Phil Wood BB. I like the floating design that allows one to fine-tune the chain line. Sometimes you could even get away with using the same BB for a triple.

Campy C-Record (aero or cylindrical) seat post. Everyone seems to like the old two-bolt, but I think the sleek curved shape of this head, plus the easily-accessible single bolt is both more attractive and easier to adjust.

Brooks Professional large rivet saddle. First saw this on the 1974 Raliegh Team Pro and thought it was too cool. Then I saw one up close and checked out the tiny hammer marks on the rivets and liked it even more.

C-Record high flange ("Sheriff's Star") hubs. The most beautiful thiing Campagnolo ever produced. My favorite component of all time, at least in terms of appearance. If you have an extra set, shine up a front one and leave it on your desk or coffee table.
