I have a question about the late style non-fluted Campy NR/SR cranks.
Was there anything else different about these other than the non-fluted
arms? I mean, was there anything about them that addressed the cracking
problem? Personally, I never had a Campy crank crack, but DO NOT want
to open that can of worms again. Thanks for your input!

Jim-
I have a feeling someone has already mentioned it, but you are correct, these
non-milled later cranks are different AND stronger than the older style. They
have extra beefed up casting in the spider/cranks arm area that is always
prone to cracking. I have had these later non-milled cranks on three different
bikes, but only one of them have I put 10,000 miles (10+years) on. They are
mighty dirty, but have no spider cracks what-so-ever. cheers-
