Wim Van Est was also one of the earlier sports hero spokesmen in the advertising world. He advertised for the Pontiac watch company in the Netherlands. His slogan was: "Mijn hart stond stil, maar mijn Pontiac liep nog!" which would translate to: "My heart stood still, but my Pontiac kept on ticking!" Almost a prelude to the famous Timex ad: My watch took a licking but kept on ticking!

What other non-cycling related products used cycling heros as their spokesmen?

I'll start by adding the Bartali and Coppi razor blades. What else?
