Hi CR Folks,

Excessive build-up of bike portfolio makes sale of a few items desirable.

1) Raleigh Pro NOS - 1971 or 1972 Brown (Mink) with silver and all the fun carlton decals. 22". Original silks in nice shape, never completely assembled. Original seat and brake cables and perhaps bar/stem were pilfered from box (I unwapped the frame and attached parts myself, so that is all perfect and correct). Saddle is NOS slightly later Brooks pro and bar stem are ttt (told these were original though in some years) and Campy brake housing will be supplied. This is the very bike profiled in the VRBN years back. Painfully gorgeous although the Raleigh brazing workmanship is kinda yuky. I also have the original shipping carton from Raleigh. $2,150 plus shipping.

2) Colnago 56.5cm (or so to top) 1972 frame /bike/ parts package. This is the Merckx type package as someone is currently selling on ebay. It has the fun drilled Merckx chainring, the milled seatpost and milled stem. It is light blue. There was a special Merckx downtube decal I was told but it is no longer there. Paint is in really great condition (no chrome headlugs, sorry) and is very shiney. The following parts are included: brakeset with extra old world logo hoods, all cables, deraillieurs, NOS unicanitor saddle, pedals with old logo christophe toe clips, NOS campy hubs and NOS Martano rims, NOS early 80's Clement Silk tubulars (Italian ones!), I'll find some appropriate Stella spokes. Also included will be an everest NOS freewheel and Everest NOS chain. Only thing not included might be the rim washers for the Martano rims. It might take a few days to find all the parts in my dissorganization, but should be able to ship the package by later next week. Parts that are not NOS are low milleage in great condition. It all just needs to be put together. The components such as the fluted seatpost were painted in accent colors of either blue or yellow. The workmanship on this frame is fantastic - much nicer than a year or two later. This really has the feel of a great handmade frame. This will be a real showpiece when assembled. $2,100 plus shipping.
