Fellow Cycling Enthusiasts,

May we please leave our political agendas off list? We are at the beginning of what portends to be a long, bitter, and divisive presidential campaign here in the USA. Since politics have been declared OT we really should not discuss them or argue them here.

Might we please reserve this place as a haven from electioneering, political punditry and partisanship? I too, have strong political opinions, but will refrain from expressing them here. As far as I know, neither of the two major candidates rides a bicycle which fits within the timeline. Only Jimmy Carter seems to own an "On Topic" machine built by a "Keeper of the Flame" and he isn't on either ticket!

I really enjoy this list and hope we can keep it above the fray for the next six (or seven if we end up in the Supreme Court again) months.

With warmest regards,

Carlo Carr (Hope this doesn't spark a debate over whether Senator Kerry's Serotta CSI is a KOF bike!) NOLA
