I generally take a bike (with big meaty curb-eating tires and a lock) and start watching the race in Manayunk, on The Wall. I'll take in a few laps there and when it starts to get crowded I'll leave, following the course over to Lemon Hill and watching them pass by as I go. I _used_ _to_ end up down at the Art Museum circle to watch the finish, but these days all the decent seats are reservation-only. If you have tickets that's great, if not then I suggest a nice cafe with a big TV. Immediately after the race you can ride the river drive back to Manayunk. Makes for a pretty nice day.

Unfortunately this year I will not be able to be there in person :-(
